Trade estimating software for UK businesses
Move from rough job notes to a reviewed selling price. ProfitQuote gives UK tradespeople a practical way to organise costs, see the effect of contingency and profit, and produce a professional customer quote.
Understand the calculation before you agree the price.
No card · Free account to save, download or email · £37/month after 3 quotes
Catch the work that is easy to leave out.
Start with cost, not turnover
Bring together labour, materials and the supporting costs of delivering the job. Include the business overheads you need the work to recover.
Separate risk from reward
Contingency allows for uncertainty. Profit is the return you want after costs. Review both rather than treating a single percentage added to materials as your whole margin.
Check the customer document
Review scope, quantities, inclusions and exclusions before sending. Make sure the customer understands the proposed work and any assumptions behind the price.
Build the scope. Check the costs. Send the quote.
- Gather the job details and use your actual labour rates and supplier prices to build the cost picture.
- Review forgotten-cost safeguards, materials markup, contingency and the target profit margin. Adjust assumptions while the calculation is still in front of you.
- Approve the figures and wording, then save the job and send a professional PDF quote. Use the saved quote as your reference if the scope changes.
A focused option for sole traders and small UK trade businesses who want job pricing and customer quotes in one workflow. It works from the details and costs you supply; check specialist requirements such as drawing takeoff or tender administration separately.

See more than a total at the bottom.
Job pricing you can review
Bring labour and materials into the same calculation. Review materials markup, overheads and supporting costs before deciding the selling price.
Risk and profit kept visible
Review contingency and your target profit margin. ProfitQuote warns when the numbers look tight; you decide whether the rates, scope or allowances need to change.
A professional customer PDF
Once you approve the scope and figures, download a professional PDF quote or email it to the customer. Your free account lets you save the quote for later.
Forgotten-cost safeguards help you review the job; they cannot guarantee that every site condition or expense has been covered. Check the final scope and figures before sending.

Questions before you start
What is the difference between markup and margin?
Markup is profit expressed as a percentage of cost. Margin is profit expressed as a percentage of selling price. For example, £800 cost and £1,000 selling price gives £200 profit: 25% markup but 20% margin, before any costs you have left out.
Is the free allowance a time-limited trial?
The offer is three free generated quotes, with no card required. Create a free account to save, download or email them. Used quotes carry over when you register, and the £37/month subscription is needed before creating quote four.
