Privacy notice
Who controls your information
ProfitQuote is operated by Big Bulldog UK Ltd. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email, trade and encrypted password.
- Business settings and the quote or job information you choose to enter.
- Payment status supplied by our payment provider.
- Basic technical and usage data, such as browser activity, pages visited and conversion steps.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide and secure ProfitQuote, create and store quotes, support customers, process subscriptions, understand whether the service works and improve it. We rely on performing our contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, legal obligations, and consent where required.
Trial quotes without an account
We use a random browser identifier and a one-way network identifier to provide up to three trial quotes and reduce abuse. Trial quote records are designed to expire after 30 days unless they are transferred into an account.
Services that help us operate
We use specialist providers for hosting and databases (Railway), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Brevo), analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), file storage (Cloudflare R2) and assisted quote generation (Anthropic). Information is shared only as needed to provide those functions. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information into a quote.
Retention and security
We keep account and quote information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, security and legal records. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on UK data-protection law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where consent is used. Contact us at the email above. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and analytics
ProfitQuote uses local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember trial progress. Analytics services may use cookies or similar technologies. Browser controls can limit these, although some essential features need local storage to work.
Changes
We may update this notice when the product or suppliers change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
